That is also known as murder.
Euthanasia is when you or someone decides their animal needs to be out out of their misery. People do not get not decide this about other people.
Removing a brain dead person from life support is not euthanasia as they are dead - Their brain cannot and will not ever function. A person being kept "alive" by means of a machine is not truly alive.
If you meant "assisted suicide", then that is an entirely different idea. That is when YOU decide that you want to end your life based on the fact that you have a terminal illness or injury and the pain is unbearable, there is no hope of recovery or living a healthy life. YOU decide this and no one else.
I think people have the right to make their own decisions. Others should not be allowed to intrude on someones life, decisions and health.
Of course people should not be allowed to simply commit suicide, but for terminally ill people it should be an option. But the option is between your health care provider and YOU. It is NOT between you and pete, mary, joe, donna and ralph from the local synagogue, church, moqba, or cave.
I think it's wrong, unless the alternative is suffering. Like when there is a person in the hospital suffering from serious injuries/sickness, THEN I would consider it okay, but in any other case, definietly wrong.
I think you are refering to "Assisted Suicide" which is not euthanasia in any way ,shape,or form.Maybe you should research the difference between the two before you open Pandora's box.It is not a question that is taken lightly by many people and it involves Politics & Religion.
For a crime, no, they should turn them over to the victims family and let them do what they want, as for medically, if they won't survive or ever truly live again, then yes, you are being merciful and saving our tax dollars
