Screen opens 5 inches up from bottom. How can I fix without maximizing every time?

I have changed the resolution several times but the picture is still too short although wide enough.

try and resize window. open window. move cursor down to edge of window until it brcomes a double ended arrow. push and hold right button. drag window to size you want.
