I have a large blister on my foot and I don't know what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated..
It's cross country season and we're running a lot. Last friday on a 12mi run a blister on my foot doubled in size and now it's about 2square inches. I skipped running on saturday so that it could heal, and there was no practice sunday. Today's workout was 8mi total and I didn't notice the blister much, it hurt a little bit but not bad (probably endorphins and adrenalin and all that). Afterwards I found that it had popped & drained, and now it hurts REALLY bad and I can barely walk on that foot. I really don't want to miss practice tomorrow because I'm missing this coming friday and saturday. The like main center part of the blister (not much of a blister any more because it's drained, but the skin is still raw) doesn't hurt that much, but it's edges are red and hurt the most. All I've done to treat it is soak my foot in warm salt water & earlier today I put h peroxide on it to clean it. When I run, I would either directly put medical tape on it or put a bandaid type thing and tape over that. I feel like it would be silly to go to the doctor's for a blister.
