I was at a dentists earlier today. She said one of my teeth is cutting. what does that mean in dental terms? what is the outcome of cutting?

If you do not have all of your adult teeth, or do not have your wisdom teeth yet, this could mean a tooth is coming up through your gums. The cutting term is mostly used when babies begin getting their first tooth, aka cutting a tooth. I hope this helps!

its odd because its on my top mandible towards the front, and she referd me to an orthodontist, so im like really confused.

Hmmm. I am not sure what the dentist meant then. Perhaps the way yours grew in caused it or teeth around it to shift. The orthodontist probably means braces though. Whatever the case, good luck!!
