Why do i keep getting mailbox isn't recognized when i call my son that's in the military?

My son was recently told he will be going to Afghanistan and is now doing his final training before leaving. I can't seem to contact him whenever I call his cell phone. I keep getting the message that this mailbox isn't recognized. Anyone know if this has anything to do with him being in the military or is it simply that his mailbox might just be full and he hasn't had time to check it?

I think it has something to do with the military. The best thing you can do is to wait till he calls again then you can ask him whether it is restricted to call him. He will give you the best answer since he known almost all the rules in the military.
