How do I get my 2001 windstar to start with a key,when it has a security problem

I can only start it by pushing both buttons on the remote an holding them till it starts the van seems to cycle

To start your 2001 Windstar to start with a key during a security problem you can try unhooking your battery. Sometimes unhooking the battery will reset the computer and help with these kind of problems.
