If it does not show on your credit report, as far as I am concerned, it is not anyone's business. Any type of loan check would only be able to access what is on your current credit report. If it does not show on your report, they can not use it .
Someone who has filed for bankruptcy in the past has a clean slate regarding deb, so if you are applying for some type of loan and are asked if you have ever filed bankruptcy, you should be honest because lenders will already have access to that information. You should not be discriminated against for having filed bankruptcy in the past. So it is better to be honest, lying would probably hurt your chances of securing a loan.
