Is it possible for an adult to have a felony expunged? I have heard that some are and some aren't

Report as

Possible yes, but depends on:
Length of time without committing any other crimes.
The class and the type of felony you committed.
Whether the judge thinks it would better serve the community for you not to have a record.
It takes a lot of time and money to get it done, but it is possible.

Felony was possession of controlled substance class B. Sentence was fine and 1 year probation with no conviction if probation wasn't violated. 3 weeks before probation was up she got a DUI including accident and property damage. So the felony charge stood. No jail. That was about 4 years ago. State of Oregon.

@Brett, hush up and have some respect! Anyone would believe Retiredkop over you any day! This person asking the question obviously wants a true honest answer and you are being a fool.

Thanks Yin. I try to do the best I can but you can't keep every one happy!

Larryapril... Looks like you messed up twice big time. Most drug charges will not be expunged until you get 10 years behind you with no new charges. If you were dealing, it is darn near impossible to do! If you haven't done so already, pull your heat out and turn yourself around!

Not if you have ever been to prison. Yes, if all you did was jail time. At least that's what they told me.
