Before switching your pet from the food that was specified by her doctor to one that she likes, I would advise you to consult the vet who treated her. This is because the vet is the only person who can come up with a suitable diet that will help your dog recover from the Parvo virus. Ensure that you supply the vet with the list of food that your pup likes so that she can at least have a variety of foods to choose from.

After a dog goes through Parvovirus, which is a viral attack on the lining of their stomach & intestines, it's very important that they eat food that is easy on their stomach first, that they eat period second. If he won't eat wet food, try feeding a small amount of the dry. Wait for a few hours to make shure he doesn't throw up. If he doesn't, next time add a little more food. Keep the meals small and often. Make sure he keeps hydrated. Gatoraid added to his water (1/2 each) helps keep electrolytes up. Orange flavor works best.

Its very important to keep the food as directed, Parvo destroys the lining of the intestines, thinning them. The only thing I added to my recovering dogs diet was cooked rice. Parvo is a expensive ordeal that is for sure but if you were lucky enough to have your pet survive it I would stick with what the vet has recommended.

Try to keep the pup on soft food. Warm it up a little, she might go for it then. My dog had to eat canned food while she recovered from being hit by a car, she hated the stuff cold but I warmed it up and she thought she was getting table scraps.
