My 9 week old puppy won't eat his puppy food but only eats my 2 year old dogs dog food. Is this bad for my puppy?

Yes it is. Puppy food has added nutrients and higher protein & fat that growing puppies need. Your puppy won't grow to full size and may develop health issues. Either feed them separately or feed them both puppy food (just cut back on the amount for the adult dog). I've got proof - a wolf hybrid that should have weighed 120lbs only reached 62, has severe joint problems and heart problems. The owner thought regular dog food would make him bigger. I also volunteer for a vet and have heard him say the same numerous times.

Sounds like a dominance issue. Puppy food has more nutrition and is better for the pup. Try feeding them separately.

Haha thats wat my kitten was doing when i first got her. Feeding seperately or in different rooms always helps. eventually he will get used to it... Its really not THAT bad of a problem thow if u cant get him to eat his own food...

Thank you. Both puppy food and dog food are the same brand.
