Pink eye needs to be treated because it will spread and it is contagious. Call your physician and tell him what you told us. Maybe there is an ointment for pink eye that can be purchased over the counter.Good luck
Just happened to me last week, but was out of town and not near my physician. I bought over the counter eye drops from the pharmacy. It helped the itching a lot, but, be prepared, it did sting! I also used a wet cold compress because my eye was a bit swollen. Was fine in a couple of days. Feel better!
they have a cream for pink eye at drug store Walgreen, walmart.. i dont rember the name but it only like 4bucks maybe? you will find it with highgeny look for it where eye drops are, its also good to flush your eye with moist eye drops any kain..and dont touch it!! wash your hands be4 doing/ I've also use a clean wash cloth soke with warm water (hot) but dont burn yourself.. and hold warm clean wash with your eye closed and hold there for 5mins then repeat again every coubl of hours it will help open the pores ducklets and make it come to a head faster..((do not try and pop like a pimple thou cus it will only make it more red and swollen and take longer to go away))
Warm compresses off and on but if both eyes are infected use separate cloth for them. Make sure keep check bc if it don't get better you'll have to see a doctor for antibiotics to help get better unless you use the oldest remedy I no and that is if you no a mother that's breast feeding borrow three to four drops of milk in something get a dropper then drop in eye that's infected I no that sounds ugh but has worked my brother just had pink eye day ago and his dr. had to write meds. so hope ya get well soon
If your very brave you can use (lemon juice) Just a drop, I put it on a q-tip and swipe it in sometimes drop it in. Of course it stings like hell!!! but works, I did this 3 times a day for 3 days. either take the sting or pay for doctor.
