How do I get better foundation coverage?

I use a foundation called lock in by Kat Von D and I am in love with it. I have used 3 bottles since it came out. It works great on my face, but I can't get good coverage on my nose. it really bothers me because it looks smooth everywhere else but on my nose. What can I do to get better coverage with this foundation?

I have been doing and teaching film and stage make-up for 45 years. Sounds to me like you have an uneven oil problem on different areas of your face. DO NOT USE any skin drying products for a few days- the skin needs to level off. Then use a cream/cake oil based foundation with a high pigment ratio. RCMA, KELLY, or Kryolan have the highest in the industry (and are used professionally every day) have better coverage- and cost less than the Products you mentioned. Of course use a no color powder after, and after you have used a puff to remove the excess powder, use this professional trick- get your powder puff wet, squeeze out the excess water, then press and roll the final powder excess off (do not rub- it ruins the make-up job). It will last for several hours under almost every weather condition. Remove it normally, then wash your face(and body too) with the same shampoo you normally use in the shower. Your skin will thank you for it, and feel great too.

Either buy another foundation that offers more coverage, or use a concealer on your nose for additional coverage. Also, try using a face powder or multiple applications of the foundation on your nose.

Kat Von D also sells concealer at Sephora that is so highly pigmented it can cover tattoos, I guarantee it will work :)

Powder, or layers of different foundation. Primer might work well too.

Maybe you should get one of those nose strip things that stick to your nose (and stick it where ever you need it) and maybe it'll clear your pores so they don't show discoloration. just a suggestion I'm not absolutely sure but I think you should start with cleaning the crap out of your nose before you put on make up and to be honest you're probably beautiful enough you don't need to worry about your nose

I already answered this a day ago but I just remembered that I own a container of super gel like stuff (from sephora) and it makes your make up stick to your face and I think it also makes it less irritating to your skin with the make up .

Revlon has a face "primer'. I bought mine at Ulta for around $5.00. It is non-oily, and it fills in all the uneven texture, color, and helps makeup stay in place. I only use it in the winter b/c there is no point to put makeup on your face in summer in Phoenix! Everything just slides south and the level of dust in the air just makes mud!

Lancome LaBase Pro primer is a miracle worker! Does it wear off throughout the day or just not covering from the start? M.A.C. concealer is too cakey, almost would recommend Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer, but my favorite is Effacernes , again, by Lancome! the primer is oil-free and bonds the makeup without clogging you skin. And the concealer doesn't budge, even through humidity or a workout. As for foundation, stick with what you like! Hope this hepls!

when you put your foundation on, dab it on and then blend in with a blending brush. When you do your nose, try using a little more fountation after aplying a bit of primer. After this, use some matching powder once the foundation soaks in a bit,
