Newer studies have also shown that coffee may have benefits, such as protecting against Parkinson's disease, type 2 diabetes and liver cancer. And it has a high content of antioxidants.

A growing body of research shows that coffee drinkers, compared to nondrinkers, are:
less likely to have type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and dementia
have fewer cases of certain cancers, heart rhythm problems, and strokes
?There is certainly much more good news than bad news, in terms of coffee and health,? says Frank Hu, MD, MPH, PhD, nutrition and epidemiology professor at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Other drinks that you can have are tea or water. Low fat or Skim milk is also a nice soft drink that you can have while working on your computer. Check out other alternatives of coffee at http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/healthy-drinks-full-story/.

Listen to ravenevan's answer.
Like ynp.214 said, soda is not healthy.
(Carbonation and sugar etc.)
If you just want a trade-off, black/green teas have caffeine, too, and some have much more caffeine than coffee if you brew a strong cup.
Coffee and teas are healthy for you, but like all things (including caffeine), use in moderation. :)
There is an addiction & tolerance build-up factor to bear in mind with caffeine. Plus coffee is also a diuretic, which can lead to a state of constant partial-dehydration (which dulls the mind, too). So, maybe alternate with fruit juices or glasses of pure water somewhere in between the coffee/teas, to keep your brain at its sharpest.
