I want to begin dressing more feminine...?

I'm a girl in my early teens. Since around April I've been more style-conscious and have been dressing in form-fitting/fashionable clothes. As the new school year is approaching, I want to begin wearing skirts, dresses, etc. as opposed to my usual skinny jeans or leggings. Along with this, I'd like to have a more feminine demeanor in general. My issue is that I'm a bit embarrassed to be wearing skirts and dresses to school, even though mine are casual (for the most part). I won't lie, I'm not really fond of attention, positive or otherwise. Is there a way I can "ease into", per se, a girlier style without shocking my peers?

My advice is to just do it and get it over with. No matter what you wear someone might have something to say about it, Don't care! Wear whatever makes you feel the way you want to feel. You go, girl!

try long skirts or sun dresses...or try the new style and see what you think of the outfits on you...if all goes bad then go back to jeans and leggings but find a way to make it "you" such as buy fabric markers,or buy iron on's you can purchase those things at your local craft store

Perhaps you should wear the feminine clothes once a week, that way you can slowly ease into wearing dresses and skirts more often. And the comments by your peers won't be like an avalanche upon you. Good luck.

Firstly, I would suggest to be confident an comfortable in anything you wear. Don't force yourself to wear something that makes you uncomfortable. I tend to wear more dresses, skirts, and other outfit combinations that some people may seem to think are too dressy for school, but I myself actually feel more comfortable and put together in those types of clothes so I try not to be influenced by what other people say. But, a way to ease into dresses and skirts is to wear more modest colored and styled ones at first, and then once your comfortable in those, try more eye catching dress patterns and styles that your comfortable in.

Once you start wearing dresses and skirts its hard to go back. You will love how they make you feel.

Wear what you are comfortable with. Don't fall into peer pressure

OMG you sound like my daughter Katie. Just do it! Trust me once you give it a try you'll like it, yes people will likely pay you some attention but that's good. Before you know it you'll be loving the attention. And the haters, are just jealous.

Buy a little bow clip that's really small. It's an adorable touch and super easy to get used to! You can get some from Claire's
