confusing question IF they already work for you then it can create a conflict of interest. be clear of the jobs/roles/outcomes. it can not be allowed to conflict with current job.
IF it is just hiring and using a 1099 to pay as subcontractor.. sure.. i do it all the time. i did get an ind contractor agreement that is iron clad set up by a lawyer to protect myself. there are different concerns when IC's are in play
You can be able to hire your own personnel as an independent contractor. However, you should make sure that your business is legal by getting a valid license for it. That way, the IRS won't be on your back about certain payments and questioning the validity of your business.
