How do you deal with depression?

I've dealt with it by doing my best to be happy! To talk to people that know me and I can express myself ! My depression is almost gone because I have a good chance of living now and I've fallen in love with a great lady. I've been put down for so long, I was ready to give up ! Now, I'm happy ! No more depression! Before you go the pill route, talk to people you really trust ! It will help a lot !

Therapy and medication. Best way to deal with depression. If you can't do those find someone you are comfortable with and be completely honest with them. But the best thing you can do is talk to a trained professional and possibly start some medication.

talk to someone who's close to you..but not someone who wants to get you professional help..someone who says what they think not just what everyone else thinks...be very expressive about it. i don't believe in professional help or medication. i think its a personal issue that needs help from people closest to you.

Depends on the source.

If it is a hormone imbalance, then you need to take supplements prescribed by a doctor.

If it is a learned behaviour due to a dysfunctional home growing up, then you need counseling to learn healthy coping mechanisms.

If you are just sad or stressed and not clinically depressed, then you find things to do that are fun for you.

You can talk to your doctor and see what’s the best option for you there are meds you can take to helps, they can give you the numbers to therapist and psychologist that can help you it just depends on the severity and the cause of it. But for the most part the first step is talking to a doctor and seeing what your options are. I hope this helps. :)

Talk to your friend and forget everything about that person. But theres other options like: going to a therapy.
