So my husband pays child support for his 2 children in a previous marriage. His daughter got married and we are still paying why?

His ex wife is no longer working and still thinks we should pay the full amount for the one that 15. She is trying to claim she is disabled which she is not just has never worked in her life

Your husband should not pay child support for the daughter who is already married. This is on condition that she has reached the age required and is able to survive on her own. You should report about that for modifications to be made. Go to http://www.ksfamilylaw.com/FAQS/modification_of_support/ for more.

The y are taking their sweet time modifying it and now the ex is trying to get it so it stays the same with only having to pay for the one. We also have 2 children together. I am not disagreeing with him having to support his children just that his daughter is now someone else dependent so why should we still be footing the bill. She turned 18 in April and married in may. Still waiting for the administrative modification. It is like they are intentionally dragging their feet

The other wife is stupid... He doesn't have to pay child support after his kids turn 18

to me he's not supposed to be paying child support for his daughter anymore because she's married , for as long as her husband can take care of her and because she's able to get married she should be able to take responsibilities in marriage, children do not get married , adults do ,

Sounds like the ex just wants the cash for herself.

She claims she is giving it to the daughter the daughter saws no. Pretty sure ex wife is keeping it.

He is not legally obliged. Wife no longer needs support for child as husband now supports child/wife.

Many states, child support stops if child gets married. Consult a lawyer.

Child support does not include married people ex can say what she wants but your hubby has to decide what he wants. Even you have no choices. It's up to him to go for a change in circumstances support order
