Is it true or false that in 2011, 41%of all traffic deaths in NM were alcohol related

Alcohol-involved traffic deaths indeed were accountable for 41% of the 355 people that were killed in highway crashes in 2011. State records indicate that 146 people were killed in highway crashes that involved alcohol in 2011. There was a slight rise compared to 145 in 2010.

If you're not from New Mexico, you probably don't know what a problem drinking and driving is. Figures like the one you're asking about, are a common occurrence in the state.
