Can a 19 year old be forced by his parents to join the military in the U.S.A.?

he does NOT want to join the military but his dad is in the military and wants him to go.

"his dad is in the military and wants him to go." ...then his Dad should be well aware of the freedoms within the constitution that he enlisted and swore an oath to uphold and defend. So, the 19 year old has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness whatever that 19 year old deems is such. That said, the military can offer a number of different stepping stones for life and career, so I am sure the intentions somewhere therein are good on the Dad's part.

No, he is not legally bound to follow their demands.

technology, no. only because he's over 18 and the parents cannot force him to do anything that he may or may not want to do.

The 19-year-old needs to put an alternative plan together and act. If he's on the couch, well, it's time to get moving.

No. At nineteen hes a legal adult and cannot be forced to join the military. However if dad is supporting the nineten year old he can legally refuse to continue supporting him.
