Why do we dream? What's your opinoin?

i have trouble remembering my dreams most o the time, but sometimes i have crazy dreams of mass population decrease due to epic batural disasters, does mean that those times are to come or does it symbolize something thats going on in mylife? is their such thing as universal dreams, as in people around the world having the same or simmilar dreams?

Many people say that dreams are what allows our brains to process all the that have happen in the past and in that particular day. In my opinion, some dreams actually mean something. As in, something that will happen in the future or your body trying to tell you somethings wrong. Personally i've had numerous deja-vu occurences through dreams. I'll dream about a place ive never been and some time later i end up going there somehow.

A dream like that is probably just that you are thinking about it during the day (like, right now) and then your brain goes over what happened during the day, and so you dreamed about that.

Dreams can be rather tricky sometimes. There are, in my opinion, different types of dreams. The first type is when your brain takes all of the information and experiences it's had in the days or weeks prior, and puts it together in a dream that sometimes doesn't really make sense. The second type is when your subconscious is trying to tell you something using symbolism. Perhaps something that you need to fix in your life. The third type is is when you dream of something that you really want. For example, you might really like somebody and have a dream of being with them. This is the brains way of trying something out before actually doing it. The 4th type is a prophecy dream or psychic dream. This is self explanatory. Finally, what you called a universal dream. I do believe that this is possible, and it has been recorded many times in history of happening. When I was a young girl, often my sister and I would have the same dreams, even while we lived in separate states. a good exercise to start remembering your dreams is to keep the dream log or dream diary. Keep a pen and piece of paper or notebook right beside your bed and before you even get up out of bed, why your dream is still fresh right down as many things as a river but it is possible for their be the storyline for simply just details and colours. As for your dream, it could be that your mind is weighing on the natural disasters that have been going on, the extreme weather changes and the basic fear that the world is coming to an end, or it could be a psychic dream. The world is changing greatly. I am not one to say really, I'm no expert.

Dreams are ofthe sub conscious of your mind. Usually the stuff you stress about all day or to come of the future comes out in your dreams. You may have talked about or watched the news of a disaster recently and this is what your sub conscious brought up.

well, when you go to sleep, your mind is still completely wide awake, so it can still think. When it thinks, it creates a visionary picture in your head. and usually, (not all the time), you think about something before you fall asleep and you dream about that. or it can be something entirely random. you can also do physical things in your sleep while you dream. like once, i woke up from a dream, and that specific dream was about a giant spider on my head, i woke up scratching the top of my head. dreaming is amazing. it can also help in different situations, and give you an answer you were looking for, even sometimes help you get over fear. thats why I like going to sleep, because I know I won't be bored lol. and some nights, you don't even have a dream! thats just basically your mind having a rest, or have no ideas to dream about. your eyes (closed) also move a lot while your dream, and i'm not sure of that haha.
