I use to get sunburn really, really bad. But I found the perfect remedy... Fill a large bowl with ice and cold water, you may hae to wait until the ice makes the water cold. Get a wash rag and put it into the ice water. Wring it out and place directly on burn area. This will take the heat out. By the time your finished the ice will be melted and the water will be hot. It's AMAZING how well this works!! Good luck.
There's this medicine my aunt have me when I had a sun burn, it's a gel you put on the sunburn and you run it in and then over night it heals up and in the morning it will be almost gone. If you go to the pharmacy ask them if they have anything like that, they should have it everywhere
The quickest way to get rid of the stinging and soreness, is to put regular white vinegar on it. Also, you dab it on with a cloth, don't pour it on the skin. I would also suggest, spraying some of your favorite "smell good" (perfume, body spray, etc.) in the vinegar, so it will mask some of the harsh odor of the vinegar, but make sure it is liquid and not a solid or cream.
Buy aloe Vera and put it in the refrigerator it will get nice and cool and will feel great. So aloe Vera and time sorry no way to get your skin to heal faster. It’s been damaged and it will only heal as fast as it can. The worse the sun burn is the longer it will tack to heal. I hope this helps.:)
My husband had a burn so bad on his legs they swelled. We tried Lidocane gel which is advertised to take the pain out of sunburns and that hurt him worse, we used black tea bags like Earl grey. The tannic in the tea does something awesome. Make sure to let the bags cool then set them on the burn. The burn maybe too sensitive for aloe at first.
If you tolerate aspirin, and have no allergic problems, two tabs every four hours for twelve to 24 hours. You must take it in the first six to 12 hours for maximum effect. It relieves some of the released inflammatory mediators causing the damage and pain. Cool wet packs and aloe are useful for pain relief. Avoid benzocaine re possible allergic reactions. John Derm MD
Use same amount each of 1% hydrocortisone creme and aloe vera gel (clear or green, doesn't matter). Mix well. Put thin layer on sunburn w/ the back of silver spoon (like a cereal spoon). The spoon brings out the heat of the sunburn.
!00% Coco butter. It's a solid in a yellow tube. You'll thank me later. You can find it in the hand cream department or ask for help. $1.49 or so. They used it on the island during the war for burns when nothing else was available is what I was told. Works great.
A good way to heal sunburn is, to put some cold water or ice on the burn. Then use this cooling gel with aloe, called After Sun. Next, use some baby oil so the skin could peel right off. Finally, the sunburn will heal in about a week. Hope this remedy works.
I'm not sure if they sell it in the states but I'm sure you can order it on line, it's called super freeze it's a type of after sun and after using it twice a day after 3 days you're burn turns into a tan.
