If your good and you know it try out first set the standard by which all others are judged. If you are unsure of your abilities but have the look stay towards the middle by then they will have seen the talent they want and will be looking for the look. If you have neither then towards then end by then they will be tired and will judge you on a curve because they just want the auditions to be over.

if you really want to try out for the play i suggest you go in the first audition, because i mean, what if they postpone or cancel the other 3 auditions.. ?? just saying.. good luck! :D

Towards the end, so you can "size up" the competition.

Go first. I tried out for a play recently, and got in it. Many people weren't there, but the next day, so it was very laid back and relaxed, allowing me to focus. That really helped me. I wish you the best of luck!

If you are only ok then go in the middle, so you aren't remembered precisely. If you are extremely confident in yourself then go last. That is the one that the judges will remember the most. If you are nervous but really good then go first to get it over with and stick in their minds or second to calm your nerves and still be kind of forward in their minds.
But really dont worry about placing too much. Just do what feels the most comfortable. There are only four people afterall.

It does not make a difference with timing, if you have an overall great tryout that is able to compete with the standards of others, you will be remembered. Go For It!

Go first because the judges will be forming the cast in their minds before they are over.

Near the end. That's what I always did.
