No. Well, I hate to judge, but kids who end up in juvenile detention centers wouldn't be interested in pursuing their education. Also, Prisons are run by taxes. Every penny it costs to run prisons is provided by taxes. Prisons are extremely expensive to run. If we were to take out teachers, less of taxpayer's money would be going towards prisons and more towards things that need more attention, like the healthcare system.
There are more than the educational services that will be looked into before considering to close down the center. However, educational facilities are vital in the system and therefore it needs to be highly considered.

Sure! let all the gangsters, and potential killers freely roam the streets waiting to pounce on an innocent college student, neighborhood watchman, or WWII veteran. Let them back in school so they can sell drugs, and maliciously beat a student who refuses to buy them. Closing them is a great idea!
