Femoral hernia formed after pushing on hematoma following SVT ablation
1 week ago I had SVT Ablation. As I'm coming out of anesthesia the OR nurse was pushing hard on my groin. She pushed for a very long time. It really hurt and ached deeply and now I have a foot wide by 8" long black and blue. She said I had a hematoma and needed to push the blood out. Now I have an 1 1/2" hard bulge in the exact spot where the catheter (hematoma issue) had been. Is this possibly a hernia? A femoral hernia? Groin hernia? I did call the surgeon's office and the NP suggested I try and push it back in!!! ??? It's now after 5 pm on Friday. Should I call the surgeon on call? I'm not in pain unless I push on it which I'm very reluctant to do.
