How can I get an old recipe from approximately 30 years ago from Family Circle magazine?

It was molded in a bread pan. It was made from green jello, peppermint flavoring, cool whip and Oreo cookies. It was layered with the mint jello and cool whip and the crumbled Oreo cookies. A mixture of the jello and cool whip was for the bottom layer and the plain green jello was the other layers. Very pretty and very good. I have already contacted FC and the Jello company with no luck.

You could try checking on the magazine's official website for previous issues that they may have in their archives. You can also try checking on online cooking websites like cooks.com, food.com and food network for the recipe.

www.myrecipe.com is a site where people can swap recipes. The recipe magazine called Taste of Home often has old school kinds of recipes, and may have a place where you can ask other readers for help. You may just have to reinvent it in your own kitchen, since even the publisher of the magazine it was in was not able to help. One more idea, if you can get your hands on any PTA or church cookbooks from that long ago, the recipe or something like it may be there. It reminds me of the kinds of recipes those books have. :-). Hope it works out. Chocolate and mint are classic!
