Drinking milk with your pills might affect the comprehensive blood test you are supposed to have. This is because milk contains a type of carbohydrate sugar known as lactose, which raises the blood sugar level. The blood test is supposed to provide details on sugar and glucose levels in the blood. Find out more from http://kidshealth.org/parent/system/medical/blood_test_cmp.html.

If you were required to fast for this test .. then yes, a mouthful of milk will effect your test results. You will have to advise them and perhaps reschedule. Sometimes (depending on the medication) you are also required to skip your medication until after your test.
