My white blood count is 2.6 . is this really low?

Report as

WBCs or leukocytes are cells of the immune system involved in defending the body against infection and foreign materials. Normal range is 4.6-14.0.
A low white count is called leukopenia and is a decrease in disease fighting cells circulating in your blood. Keep in mind that it's flu season and take extra precautions. Good hand hygiene, avoid close contact with ppl that are ill and wear a mask if possible. U really need to talk with your physician to find out what the cause is...that is if u don't already know. Your body is pretty much defenseless against pathogens so please be careful and take care.

Yes, that is quite low. 4.5 - 13.5 is the normal range.

This is quite low but it may have been caused by medicines you are taking. See your doctor and show him all the meds you are taking. Leukocytopenia or low WBC can be due to different reasons. Let your doctor find out which one.
