Is a bunny the right pet for me?
No hate please, I am just asking.
My brother and I would split the cost evenly of the rabbit. My parents will pay for the vet bills. There is a 4 year age difference between us so when the oldest goes to college/uni the other is still there.
We will be able to get hay for free for a while because my dad's friend owns a farm and said we could take as much hay as we please for free.
I have been filling my brain up with nearly every video and article on bunny care. We want to get a bunny that is already spayed or neutered and we would like a young rabbit.
My dad wants a small bunny, like a Netherland Dwarf or a small Lop breed. The bunny will live in a crate in our garage. The garage is locked up every night and there hasn't been any predators in there for years -- if ever. Just in case, the cage will always be locked. It's a decently big cage, about twenty four inches in every direction (another reason why we need a small breed) but I may be getting a bigger hutch for Christmas. We will play with the bunny, and I have a list of toys, chews as well as safe treats and pellets.
We wanna be the best we can be for this bunny, is this alright? How could we be better?
