Don't quit unless you have another job in line. Or unless you just have money set to the side. The economy is still awful.

The economy is bad so don't leave your job without having a new job. Get your resume up to date. It's a big project but you will feel so much better once its done. Then discreetly start inquiring about jobs. With your new r?sum? you'll be ready for anything. It may take a while but knowing that you are moving toward your goal will give you the energy and drive you need to do a good job. Be a model employee until you leave. When you feel depressed or upset,, you can say in your mind that you'll be gone soon...and you will. Success is the best revenge!

Every week try to do something toward your goal. It will help you cope. The last thing you want is to do something stupid and regret it because you're depressed or emotional.

Go to a "temp" agency. They will take a copy of your resume and show it to anyone hiring people with your skills. They can do this will you continue with your present job, and won't contact your boss if you say not to. They don't (or at least the ones I used don't) charge you anything for finding a job; they charge the employer for finding someone to fill the job.

If it makes you money, keep it, if it doesn't support you well, best option is to start your own small business. Be creative, do something few others do. Doesn't have to be your dream, just to get by

Unfortunately. it is quite rare to find a person who 'loves' their job... You can either look for another job, which is always easier when you are employed, or come to the realization this is how it is when you are of age and become a part of the 'working world'... I wish you the best...
