There could be a lot of reasons. Have you lost or gained weight recently, been under a lot of stress, changed your diet, moved, started school, have you been sick, or lost sleep? These could all be factors that set your period off schedule.
If you just got it, it's going to be off for a few months. You might not get it some months, and it will be late. If you've had it for a while now, if you've been exercising a lot it will make it late or not come. Or if your really sad or under a lot if stress. Or in a new place. it happens. your probably going on your break or something. irregular dates aren't exactly healthy. but some people have there period after longer times then usual. if it comes late. the you should tell your mom and ask for a doctor. its not serious so you need not to worry. if you don't get your period for a long time and then all of a sudden end up back in the routine like before then its normal it is your 'break' and it only happens once for every women. most women have their break during the first five years.
