What do i use to clean old brass lamp

Report as

I don't think you are supposed to clean brass -
Especially if its old -
Cleaning it devalues it -
" depending on the item "

Thanks crow
Brass is more desirable when left
Original -
" some how "
Don't own many brass items -
Except for a brass monkey -
Heh - that funky monkey -
Heh

I have artillery shells from world war two
Report as
We may need them
I have a safe full of ammo
And lots of guns
And have been buying ammo
Every week for the past
Two years-
If my house burns-
It may leave a creator
A few miles across -
Waiting for the end -
And will be here till the end-

Use either Brasso or regular (not gel) toothpaste with a soft cloth.

Spit doesn't clean for crap!
I mean, if I need to slick up some uniform shoes before a ceremony, sure. But if I do that the morning I'd put on a uniform, they'd stand like a mofo. And my primary defense with one of those uniforms would be to blind my enemy with my shoes or belt buckle!

I would personally use an sos pad. it will give you the "brushed brass" look and do a really good job of cleaning it. It all really depends on how bad it it.

NancyDonato,

If it is not chemically damaged by other products, just dust the your lamp. :)
