Why does it hurt when you get rejected by an agent? Actor wise?

I've been rejected over 20 times I want to give up

All rejection stinks. But the market she's in is a tough one.

Probably because it's something you really want to do. Being rejected by something you want doesn't feel good. You may want to ask why they are not accepting you so that you can improve in those specific areas.

Rejection Always Hurts! But Stand Back Up && Keep Trying! You've Gone Too Far To Give Up Now, I Mean Already 20 Rejects, Take A Risk Of Having 21(: Whats The Difference? Chase After What You Believe In && Dont Let Anyone Tell You Otherwise!!

You tried so hard to get there and then they just say they don't want you let's say like you bought a tuxedo and your own hairstylist also you rented a nice limo to go to a weddin or something the chided has to drive like three hours to get there but you still wanna go turns out there is no wedding it was canceled you did all that for nothing

It hurts because it's rejection and nobody enjoys rejection. It could be that you don't have the 'look' that a particular agent is looking for. If that's the case, have a look at the actors an agent is representing. Sometimes you will notice an agent represents actors of a certain type. Other times an agent may be looking for an actor to fill a spot in their stable that is empty (for instance they may not have an Asian but are looking for one. or may not have a grey-haired businessman but are looking for one). There are agents who even specialize in REALLY odd looking people for various reasons, like horror movies, gang members, etc. I lived in CA for many years and knew a couple people in the business. It could also be the case that your acting skills aren't up to par, in which case you may benefit from some classes. Good luck!

They picked some fat kid over me!

I can't afford classes
Report as
Well, they were probably looking for a fat kid. Keep trying. Eventually you will find a part that fits. Are you trying independent films? A great way to gain experience is to volunteer as an Extra. It may require some travel. I've also heard of people getting vouchers (by asking the right person on set) which can be applied to receiving your SAG membership.

It means some acting classes is a good idea
A Good actor assumes
the identity of character
it become's second nature,
in order for you to get acting experience,
you have to gain as much from experience,
playing someone else, that has experienced pain the face holds the detailed, watch your face as you talk your role in the movie, .role's, or In a play, or a one person play..or.., get some scripts of movies, watch the movie while doing the talking of one of the character.

hi those are just some ways to get in touch with more of you, dress the parts, act in front of family, so they can tell you what needs worked on,..take criticism with kindness...When you act it's the whole self, every gesture, and every word is said, with a ring of you in the character.
