I have had a sore throat for 5 days now...it hurts to swallow (like razorblades!)I was at the doctors Monday and he said it's not strep....

I have had aches (muscles) fevers/chills and headaches and swollen glands....no other symptoms. what could it be? he never did a step test and he said my throat didn't look "that bad"...by the end of the day I'm in tears cause of the pain. I have another appointment later today...I am hoping he will give me something for it! what could it be? I also have some form of pink eye (I know there's 3 types - he gave me eye drops and told me to come back in 2 days if there is no improvement and there is no improvement). HELP need some opinions and what can I do about this? I've gargled with salt water, I'm drinking fluids (even tho it hurts) and did a sinus rinse, took some oil of oregano....oh and I have no tonsils (taken out years ago)

Continue with the Essential Oil of Oregano. Put 1-2 drops in empty capsule. Swallow. Do this about 3 times a day. Dilute a drop or two in any carrier oil and apply to lymphnodes and to throat region. Must dilute because oregano can burn the skin. Do this about 3 times a day. And do the same to bottom of feet. Also, ingest 4000mg Vit. C, 5000-6000IU Vit. D, daily requirement of Zinc, equivlent of 4 Garlic cloves, and 4-6 cups of either Echinacea, or Elderberry, tea. Those will all boost your immune system to help your body to fight off that infection. Also take double the daily requirement of magnesium. This will help to "flush" the infection out of your body. You can also drink a tea with slippery elm or real licorice, sweetened with real honey, to help coat & lubricate your throat to temporarily lessen pain of swallowing. I know its a lot, but it does work. I do this everytime I come down with a bug. I hope you found this helpful.

It can be written/printed out on paper. The list really is not that long. The instructions is what makes it seem so.

Milk?!? That is one of the worse things a person who is sick can do. Milk, any dairy, causes mucus build up, which then the body has to contend with while trying to fight off the infection.

It sound like strep to me. I just got over having it then got pneumonia so I know why it feels like. You should tell the doctor you would like him todo a strep test if dosnt do it himself.

take oil of oregano and empty caps "00" stand for double zero size. Fill up 3 of them and take them every day for 15 days and say good bye to your infection. Stay off milk products and sugar for those days too. http://oregapet.com/clinical_research.html

Sneeze. Put some cloth, paper or toothpick and sneeze. Some fluid will be generated internally and start clearing the flum (phlegm). Spit it, don't swallow. Ur throat will be better. Also try hot pack on throat.

I think cleopuppy716 is wrong once I had strep but it only lasted two days not six so it might be an infection or just something you happened to get because you were around someone who had the infection. When I had strep it wasn't going around my school or anything. And just like tmytutn I recommend you go back to the doctor because this sounds like an infection to me.
