Use a PLANNER! It's very important! It'll help you remember and it's really important that you do the assignments. Besides that study hard, do your best, and be nice to everyone including the teachers. Your gonna do GREAT!!
You have to really focus on details so not to get mixed up. Got to buy books, & supplies. Take some money with you for that, and a note pad for sure. The teachers will be sure to give you some good rules that you need to know. You need to find out what the tests are going to be based on. Some teachers base the tests entirely on the lectures. Be sure to find that out and get a good seat where you can hear and see well. If you have a hearing or eyesight problem in the slightest you need to be in class early to get the right seat.
Find a good study plan that works for you, I used to make my kids show me homemade flash cards to learn medical terminology and the meaning to memorize it. They loved it, and it kept me at 3.9 through my courses.
