Is non-contact infra-red thermometer suitable to be used on adults to check for fever?
I was told by a doctor that I wasn't having fever just by scanning my forehead with a 'thermometer'. It disappointed me because I was feeling feverish.. I have had fever many times in my life, and I just know when I have it. But the doctor told me otherwise. What a waste of money and time, I could just go to a pharmacy and buy the same meds for cheaper price. So, is non-contact infra-red thermometer suitable to be used on adults to check for fever? I read that it only takes the temperature of the skin, not the body.
