This really a Shellfish Allergy : only throwing up due to the taste and smell of freshly caught shellfish as I can eat it if its not fresh?

I sceptical as to whether this is an allergy im like that with the brown parts of fish and chicken the strong taste is too much for me and in regards to smell if I walk past an open trash can on the street its quite difficult to stop myself from throwing up . I mention those examples because I can actually eat the shellfish mussels if its in a strong batter or sauce but mussels plus shellfish and fish I cant eat freshly caught - the saltwater taste and smell, those examples may show that this is only related to strong taste and smell that is unpleasant to me not a Shellfish Allergy.

that's not an allergy its a gag reflex. the smell, taste, texture, or whatever is highly displeasing to you. your body then makes you gag to make sure you don't eat it. could also be triggered by a bad memory of that food. ex: my friend's brother told her when she was little that ketchup was pigs blood and let her believe that for many years. to this day she will throw up if she even smells ketchup.

I don't believe you are allergic to either shellfish or chicken. If you were, you would be having symptoms like rashes or hives, but not vomiting. You just can't tolerate the smell. Talk to your doctor if you are still concerned.

No...not an allergy...just a weak stomach.
