i am currently doing construction on gas stations, no rooftop or anything to protect me, i hate it lol, and if you dont work in the sun all day share what u do as well, maybe in an office with ac or something, make me feel jealous haha

Yeah Orangpark the hard way and the old fashioned way. It wasn't that long ago when most people's work had some aspect of physical labor involved. Now there are relatively few people that do physical labor in the US. Then they go home and sit on their funny butts in front of the TV or computer. Then they pay big bucks to a gym so they can get the exercise they need because they're either afraid to take a walk on the streets or because they are too stupid to know that doing that regularly for about 40 minutes 5 or 6 times a week is all most of them need to get in shape.

Well at least you have a job! And thank you for your hard work. I work on an ambulance. Right now I'm just hanging at the station in the ac. However, I'll probably be up all night because I work 24 hour shifts. I know what it's like to be hot too! I'm also a firefighter and the turnout gear we wear is like wearing a portable oven! Ha!

I work in the sun all day, but not in construction or anything that would require me to wear a hard-hat, like roofing or something else. So, I got a hat called (if I remember correctly) a boonie hat. It's got a semi-stiff wide brim that goes all the way around, and the sides can be buttoned up if you prefer. It isn't necessarily the most fashionable thing I've worn, but that's not a priority for me and the hat definitely eases my suffering some. Other than that, take frequent sips of water all day long. I have a 3 liter jug that I fill 2/3 of the way the night before and freeze, in the morning I top it up and as the ice slowly thats I have ice cold drinking water almost all day long. I keep the jug in my work bag and keep it fairly handy, so the jug isn't it the direct sun, then the ice doesn't melt too fast.

I commend you for doing that kind of work. I'm sure it is grueling !! I used to drive around for my job on a beautiful beach highway. Everyone was on vacation but me. I kind of understand. Maybe at some point you could do some other type a work where you are not in the elements.
