Bible belt? Is that something people where to hold their bible? Maybe if they READ their bible.... I don't believe all weather incidents are caused by God. Some yes, but some are due to winds and climate change. Not everything bad is a punishment from God. When God causes something, it's usually unmistakable, like the black plague. Ironically the thing that stopped that was people stopped going to the city, stayed amongst themselves and got back to basics...and with God.

Well it wouldn't make sense for God to let them happen up North. The northern hemisphere doesn't have the right environment for a massive tornado to form. If God started letting tornados form in cooler areas then where will he stop? Earthquakes in New Jersey? Hurricanes in Italy? Snowstorms in Brazil? We already get confused enough with God's world as it is, he's not going to drop a bombshell like Yankee tornados on us. It would blow our minds O.o
Good made the weather but I'm sure if he sits there and goes "I think I'll murder that family over there with a tornado" But one thing about the Bible Belt is not everyone is as good as they seem. Some of them just like rubbing in other faces that they're Christian and feels like they are better then everyone else. God says to be silent when you do good and you will be rewarded in the afterlife,
"... for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:45 Christians are not immune to all the bad things that can happen in the world.
Tornados are caused by the clash of dry and moist air. When moist air is trapped underneath the dry air and tries to rise, it is blocked by the dry air. The air trapped in the two layers start to spin in a circular motion, creating a supercell. The cool dry air from the north(Montana, Washington, Canada etc) and the warm moist air from down south( Gulf of Mexico) meet in central US, it creates weather that is suitable for tornadoes. I live in Oklahoma and have seen many tornadoes take people's homes, families and lives, including my own. They are not acts God, but caused by weather conditions. I've lived in Oklahoma for 12 years, but was raised in Montana. It is very rare but there have been tornadoes in Montana, and other northern states. They are not just formed in the bible belt. Although, the majority of them happen in Oklahoma and Texas.
This is a result of Satan, but God allows it for now because it is as it must be, satan has limited free will, and this is according to Gods mercy and grace. You can be certain that God causes all things to work for the good according to His plan, which is as perfect as Him. Though we may not understand, we can rest assured, that God has everything under control.
Tornadoes and other natural disasters are labeled as acts of God by news agencies and religious teachers who lack true knowledge of the nature of God himself. Often when disaster strikes it is nothing more than a product of "time and unforeseen occurrence." (Ecclesiastes 9:11) That this is the case is the simple fact that in many cases these tragedies result in the deaths of many innocent people. The Bible clearly states that it is unthinkable that God would put to death the righteous with the wicked one. (Read Genesis 18:25.)
