Can someone please inform me whether this company is legit.

Good day,

I was approached by a U.S based company called Your Public Liability (YPL) Financial Group Ltd. for a job opening. I tried searching for more details on the company, but found no website or literature. How would I know whether they are legitimate?

I have been scammed before and is very cautious. Would appreciate any information.

Kind regards

First and foremost, you should know the basics about job scams. If the offer seems too good to be true, it most likely is. Know that genuine employers won't send you money order and ask you to deposit the check and send the cash back to them. If the employer is asking for a certain fee, then probably it is a scam.

Thank you for the reply. I have however found their website now, my own mistake for being to hasty to jump to conclusions, and the company seem legitimate and good. The offer was never too good and but solid, but as I said, I am just very cautious.

Thank you again and to Cloudflower too for your quick responses.

Have a good day

I would go with your gut instinct and assume that it is not a legitimate job offer and company. I would also call the Better Business Bureau. They would most likely be able to give you any information on whether it is a legitimate company or not.

AnnieDE - I too have been approached. Did you advance with the offer? I would like more information, if you've gotten any. Thanks!

I was also approached and decided to pursue it further. I just had an "interview" with a Rev. Daniel Finch. Not sure what to think. He told me I had to purchase 4 financial software packages in order to do the job. In order to purchase the software I have to send $440 via a MoneyGram to "the company's certified retailer".

This hook me up also, if they are opening a job why would they asked the applicant to purchase such software when they should be the one providing that? And there is no guarantee or assurances that your money be back if something goes wrong with the transaction. The website they provided is a little bit suspicious, I too have work with Insurance company but I have never seen any partnership by this company. In my own opinion and instinct, I rather not gamble to this suspicious job opening.
