.. the Christian worldview does not allow for disembodied spirits to roam the earth. When people die, their spirit enters into an intermediate state of existence, either going to the presence of God (heaven) or a waiting place to be judged ..In other words, there is no intermediate state of the intermediate state. Demons, however, do roam the earth as does Satan. Demons will often manifest themselves in ways that will confuse people's worldview and undermines the Christian message. If a person were to believe in ghosts, this is, at the very least, a compromise with regards to proper Christian eschatology.. Demons may appear as those who have previously died-even animals-in order to disenchant people about the afterlife, making the Christian worldview conflict with personal experience. These demons may communicate with a knowledge of the lives of those whom they are impersonating, giving the definite impression that they must be identified with that person.http://www.reclaimingthemind.org/blog/2009/04/do-you-believe-in-ghosts-a-primer-on-the-christian-view-of-the-supernatural/
I believe God has angels to help him. And so i believe the devil has his "evil spirits" that may linger here on earth that may haunt/harm people. But I think that as long as you realize that God is all powerful and that he reigns over all things here on earth and in heaven should make you feel assured that the goodness of God conquers any spirit.
Now that a million dollar question I wish that I knew for sure but I do believe in them because one day I went to get my shoes at my bedroom and they were in my backyard so I checked my camera to see who put them there and when I watched it. It was floating there I couldn't believe it but it's true you guys won't believe me but it true!!!

Here's my opinion: Though I've never experienced paranormal activity, I see ghosts as spiritual forms out of the deceased. They exist under the circumstance that they had lost their way to the light when they passed, for whatever reason it is. It could because they were scared, couldn't let go of something from before or not accepting the fact that its their time. So they wonder aimlessly for who knows how long. That can't physically harm you themselves, but do not challenge them. They've always been a mystery and like I said, I've never witnessed a ghost so I'm not completely sure if this concept is accurate. But theories like the one I described are great inspirations for stories. Maybe the people at Ghost Busters can give a more clear answer
Ghosts appear to people but they are not spirits of deceased people, they are demons. When people pass away they go before Jesus to be judged. They either go to heaven or hell. They don't have the option to stick around.
