My AT&T providers called me and said I needed Ethernet for my wifi to work. What does that mean? How do I get it?

You need an Ethernet card put in. They're easy! Then you plug in your router device to it in the back of your PC and then a cord to plug it into your router. Takes a special type of cord. Your router may have the type of cord you need anyway. It's easy to just put an Ethernet card in.

Why would you need an Ethernet card to connect with wifi? I would think a simple USB wifi adapter would work.

It should ! But the question is vague at best! I had to put an Ethernet card in my set-up. They just gave it to me!

I'm not sure but I just bought a tablet and can't connect. Have AT&T as well. I'm giving them a call in the morning to find out what the problem is. Always something!

You're paying them for the service, tell them to make it work. I'd call around and compare prices with cable Internet.
