Weapons of mass destruction are a concern no matter which country has them. Countries that are responsible players on the world stage are less of a threat, but North Korea has been a concern of ours for decades. One takes the most prudent course of action at any point in time, and we are acting both in Syria and North Korea.
The problem with Korea is china. If we go after Korea china would be force to back it's communist buddy up. Personally I say do it cause if china enter the war we can just call all the debt we owe them even ;P
The N. Korean people don't want help, they honor there leader as a God, they have been convinced that their leader does not even go to the bathroom. They have state controlled propaganda radio in all homes, and are not allowed to ever turn them off. They will go to prison if they do. If a person commits a political crime,, that person, his whole family, and the next 3 generations of his family, will spend their whole lives in labor camps. Some people are born in labor camps, grow up and die there, without ever leaving. That's how they maintain a force of free labor.China once sent N. Korea a train load of supplies, and food, N.
