If I don't wear my glasses can my lazy eye get worse?

hey... to make your lazy eye stronger wear an eye patch over the good eye... youll build the strength in the lazy one.... try it at home first. wouldnt hurt.

I have worn glasses for ten years, try haven't fixed anything. How does that make sense.

glasses only provide support for far and near sighted distances. They do not remove the lazy eyes. You have to go for lazy eye surgery for that and no that does not effect your vision becuase i know a friend who went through it and shes fine now

Not wearing glasses does not make the lazy eye to get worse as the glasses are used to provide the eye with support. By visiting an optician you can get more information on the best method of fixing a lazy eye for instance surgery.

But can my vision deteriorate over time? I am afraid it can get worse. But I have worn glasses for ten years and they haven't fixed anything but I have stopped a few years back.

@Croncias. I have a really close friend who also had lazy eyes at the age of 4 years. She told me that she went for some lazer medical treatment for her eyes and now shes perfectly fine without the need for glasses and no lazy eyes. I think you should be fine just speak to a eye spealist for adice. But for now you should wear your glasses. Also im not sure if its true or not but she told me she stared at the green leaves on treees tht helped her.

I had the same problem. And my doctor gave me a prescription to wear eye glasses not to make worse. As a result I needn't glasses at all. From another side there are a lot of fashionable glasses and information to choose the best frame.
read some forums, blogs, for ex, http://www.eyeweardaily.com and buy smth for you.
