If someone died in your family how would you react or take it?

Report as

Everyone reacts differently so there is no wrong or right way to react

Me?...speechless,quiet,... I would hold it in till I was alone then let it go privately..

It is different for every one. Plus it depends a lot on how close the person was to the person who passed away.

What a dumb question...you think people are going to bake a cake? And it's not an "if" for some of us.

@alpha, I feel your pain. You are grieving. It is OK to feel the way you do but I have learned holding on to the pain does not hold the person closer to you. It is OK to smile. Just a thought my friend. :0) Have a blessed day.

It depends on who they are. If it is your mother, or in my case a grandmother who raised me most of my life, someone who provided for me, I would feel like a piece of me was ripped out when I wasn't looking. However if it was an aunt or uncle that I've never met, I wouldn't mourn as much but would still go to the funeral out of respect. But yeah, it depends.

If it was my sister I would be devastated. If it was my brother I would throw a party.

Its not fun, when someone real close dies (family or significant other) you have to first deal with the initial pain, then it hurts when you start to miss them and realize they aren't coming back. On top of that holidays are messed up when you realize they wont be around; especially the first Christmas, anniversary or their birthday.
