It is better to know the reason first. It would reveal completely in a MRI scan. Mostly you can heal or decrease the pain with correct exercising. In some cases it might require surgery especially if abnormal bone structure is the case.
If it's wrist pain that is not as a result of an immediate injury, you can use a wrist brace that will hold your wrist in the correct position and ease the pain. It also helps with carpal tunnel, which may be the cause of your pain.
