My dog yelps if I pick him up, is keeping his tail between his legs, and isn't eating, just laying in room alone?

Honey, he needs to go to the vet as soon as possible. He's either quite sick or he's very hurt. The vet says you never have to worry too awful much about them until they quit eating and then they're in trouble. Something has happened to the poor thing. I think you should call the vet tonight.

Oh, honey, you have no idea how much you writing back means to me. Animals are pretty much my life and I have thought about your dog ever since I answered your question. I am SO happy you were a great owner and took him to the vet. I mean they're just like babies. They can't talk and tell us what's wrong, so they look to us to take care of them. Thank you again for getting back with me. I'm just so happy I've got tears in my eyes!!!

Tail between legs is not a good sign especially with the other symptoms. Vet.
