Try eating more calorie-dense foods. What exactly does your daily meals consist of?

A big worry with restricted diets is anemia. You can also become lethargic, depressed, start losing hair... those are symptoms of anorexia. Obviously I hope you don't have the psychological disorder, but it's worth mentioning.

If you feel incapable of eating a "normal" meal, it'd be good to talk to the doctor. There could be other problems causing that.

Anorexia is a state of mind. Being thin doesn't make you anorexic. It's always looking at yourself as fat and intentionally starving yourself. So if you don't think that way, you're not anorexic.

Depression could be from low nutrition, and in itself causes a loss of appetite. A lot of "problems" people have today are actually symptoms of bad diet. For example, Vitamin C doesn't cure depression, BUT a C deficiency can *cause* depression. Makes sense? Lethargy is also probably from a lack of nutrients, or not getting certain vitamins, especially B vitamins (nerve function.)

There's a few things you can try. You don't have to eat large meals, instead you could snack throughout the day. A cup of fruit and yogurt for breakfast, string cheese for a snack, hummus and carrots for lunch, things like that. Small snacks you can still eat when you're not hungry, without forcing your body to stuff a whole meal. Just make sure they're fairly healthy, not just a bunch of crackers and chips.

Then get yourself a good multivitamin, one with some high doses. I have the Multivite gummies for adults, and though it says take 2 daily I take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. You can't overdose on vitamins (just the metals like copper and iron, so get a vitamin without those) so even if you take more than your body absorbs that day, it just flushes it out. You can also get a second bottle of just vitamin C, which in powder form you can mix with about anything - water, juice, yogurt, etc. Like I said earlier C is really important. Start with a little and keep increasing your doses up to "bowel tolerance" - you prob get what I mean by that, but that's how your body gets rid of excess C, so that's the max you can take daily.

its not really about the calories, its about the vitamins and essential nutrients you get out of the food you eat. so if you're eating healthy you should be okay. but try to eat more calories, they're essential too

your body needs at least 1000 calories a day to stay in good form. 2000 calories is the recommended diet for the average person.

Although some of it depends on your size and body type 1,200 to 2,000 would be in the "normal" range. Try to eat a range of foods for proper nutrition, and eat at least 3 or 4 meals of 250 calories. Add an apple or some other healthy snack once or twice a day with the 4 meals and you'll be eating close to the minimum (1,200 calories).
