Personally, I think its okay for the US intelligence to use Facebook and YouTube for official report. This is because they are the most widely used social networking sites where information can be passed on faster.
Anyone who posts anything on social networking sites has no expectations of privacy. So any use of this information by US Intelligence is valid. You may say that someone posted in your place, but that is a weak response if it is validated by other information.
It's all public domain information, so yes, they'll use it no matter how you feel about the use. This is just one more reason I DON'T use these sites. Few ever realize that ANYTHING posted on the net is there forever, and can be used in any fashion possible, how sad is it we sacrifice our privacy for the access to use the web. :(
