how come sept. 11 is not a national holiday?
may all victims RIP
Because it should be remembered everyday and 99 percent of holidays are for a good reason nothing was good about 911
I don't know either, they should make it a holiday though to remember.
I suppose they don't want a celebration on this day.
Why make it a national holiday? The terrorists tried to strike fear into our hearts, we are letting them win enough as is, why make a holiday in fear?
The same reason Pearl Harbor isn't. You don't celebrate tragedy. You remember them. Are you just looking for another day off or something? Jeez!
It probably will be dedicated as a national holiday just as pear harbor was. My guess is on the 25th anniversary.
The nation remembers and never ever forgets, that's how you honor.
Initially I thought it should be a holiday too but considering most holidays are a time of celebration and this is hardly anything happy to be celebrated. But then we have Memorial Day as a holiday and its kinda similar.
It's a tragedy. It's like saying that December 7th should be a Holliday. It is a tragedy, not a celebration.
