Would this be an adjective or noun

Aaron is a master in the field of investing.

part of me says noun because master is person
ex a noun can be a cook, chef etc

then again master can be regarding his top skills which can describe is level of competency.
ex. aaron is a BEAST of investing. aaron is a pro of investing.

hmmmm?

But, master is/can be both. Like many words, it is how they are used in the sentence.
If you said "master Aaron", that's an adjective, in this case, looks like a noun.
